Brand Web Design is back in full force!
The last few months I have been MIA as I’ve been rethinking and restructuring Brand Web Design as the solo owner. I’ve been working on redesigning my website as well as the services that I want to offer… It’s time to hit the ground running!
Over the last 6 months I have been tending to some major changes in my business. Heading into 2017 I faced some hurdles as I relaunched Brand Web Design on my own. Though it has been a challenge to rethink and reconfigure the business, it has also given me the opportunity to restructure Brand Web Design around the original vision and plan I had for my business, and to bring the focus back to my WHY:
Helping fellow entrepreneurs make their mark through creative and personal branding and website experiences.
My newly redesigned website has just officially launched and will be expanding over the coming months to include a video library of short WordPress and Canva tutorials, as well as tips on creating SEO friendly content for your website.
My goal is to help fellow entrepreneurs make their mark through creative and personal branding and website experiences.
A look back at 2016…
2016 was a whirlwind year that brought many exciting opportunities for growth for Brand Web Design. Among the highlights was being asked to speak at the PPOC Ontario conference and a local chapter meeting on SEO for photographers.
Between the speaking engagements, meeting other business owners in the community and teaching at Niagara College, I realized that a lot of small business owners and entrepreneurs struggle with content creation including how to properly optimize their website for SEO and how to create effective branded images for their social media and blogs.
This prompted me to host 2 online workshops and an online challenge that walked participants through optimizing their images, creating content and how to use Canva to create shareable graphics.
Due to the great feedback from last year’s workshops and online challenge, I plan to continue the educational aspect of Brand Web Design with more workshops (both online and in person) to show SBOs how to create their own pro-looking branded marketing material, and how to manage and their WordPress websites.
Custom WordPress design and development and branding will remain the core services of Brand Web Design, along with graphic design services.
1:1 consultations are being offered as a valuable service where you can pick my brain about your website, branding or marketing material, or request WordPress training to help you manage your website.
Website video reviews are also available! This unique service allows you to get an outside perspective on your website through the eyes of a website visitor. Through a video walkthrough of your site, I provide feedback on its usability, including user expectations, branding, flow and layout, and other usability issues to improve the overall user experience.
Big goals for 2017
One of my goals for 2017 is to double the number of businesses I work with.
It’s a lofty goal but I believe it’s achievable with a little help. I’d love for you to pass my name along to anyone you know who might be interested in branding or rebranding, or building a new website!
